For my first blog post I wanted to share with you some shots from a lovely summer evening last week in the stunning location of Seatown Beach, Dorset.
Modelling for me was a family friend, the lovely Poppy, who you will see features on my website in other shots.
Seatown has one of the lesser known beaches in Dorset, shhhh dont tell anyone about it!. It is on the jurassic coastline, so a great fossil hunting beach and it's great for fishing. The beach is pebbles and shingle and has dramatic cliffs looking over it. Great for Photos.
Techie Alert! For anyone interested in the techie stuff - I was shooting with my Canon 5d Mk4 and Sigma 24-70 zoom lens, handheld throughout the shoot and on manual to enable me to control the light. Edited subtly in Lightroom.
We started the shoot up on the cliffs above the beach....
We then moved down onto the pebble beach and spotted the rocks at the end of the beach so made our way along the beach, stopping for a little pose on the pebbles...
The rocks in the sea provided a perfect backdrop....
The light was really beautiful by this time and I wanted to capture the landscape as well as my beautiful model....
